Jim, you're still my favorite trombone player. Your solos are so passionate...and as usual, you still manage to make funny faces after a solo like that. Love it, wish there were more youtube videos.
Glockyia, that is Jim McFalls, one of the best jazz trombonists alive right now. He played with the army jazz ambassadors for 17 years, he doesnt fuck around. He won a grammy
.. And by the by, all of those things I listed aren't quite true. So, before you go making such accusations go check out J.J. Johnson, Bill Watrous, Hugh Fraser, Alistair Kay, and maybe a bit of Carl Fontana just to see how versatile the trombone soloists out there are.
Dear Glockyia, all instruments use the same licks. All guitarists of their various genres use the same riffings, all saxophonists play in the same screechy way, all trumpet players go for those high notes and long, quick streams, all drummers use the same beats, and all bassists use the same rhythms. Why didn`t you mention any of those? If you didn't like it, then you didn't need to comment it, okay?
@Trombusta I agree! Just beautiful Jim. . . just beautiful!
