Lily McGuire was a minister for The Church of God in Miamisburg, Ohio, and her husband, Asa, worked at Armco. The couple gave the world three singing sisters, who had a lot of chart hits in the 1950's and 1960's, like Sugartime, May You Always, Sincerely, He, Just for Old Times Sake. Here the trio of sisters join their parents to perform the old hymn, God Will Take Care of You, as an on the spot request from talk show host, Mike Douglas.
Phyllis sure looks like Lily... And Dorothy & Christine look more like Asa. Beautiful moment caught on tape. I wish I could meet the McGuires. Doug's parents went to school with the girls...
All my life I've wondered what the McGuires' parents looked like and now I finally know. Such good-looking people who certainly made successful lives.
