Why not make it easy and just get the PSP-290? It doesn't require the 'extra baggage' (phone, tom-tom or whatever). This video might be old or whatever but the PSP-290 was released in 2005 (in Japan).

i dont really know what u want? Map this can't recalculate routes on fly! Tom tom can!
PSP-290 works exactly in same way as holux with this cable! But the price of the cable - including shipping is 15$ - not 80$ like in sony GPS case. Holux can be use with any kind of symbian, windows mobile, and laptop.
When Go!Explore will be release in my country of course this video will be 100% out of date for me. But on the present day, this is the only way to use mapthis in quite cheap way.
