Bravo! Kaufmann!
I saw his Siegmund in the MET's HD broadcast. The theatre audience applauded him like mad, shouting 'amazing' and ' bravo' throughout the first two Acts!, sOME Eeven said that 'I could have walked out now that Siegmund is dead!'.

What a pleasure to hear a Bavarian native, raised not that far from Wagner's theater in Bayreuth, sing this role! the true subtletly of the lyric poetry hasn't been this elegant since other native singers, eg Peter Hofmanmn were once cast!
