We called that silver spray paint "mexican chrome" back when i was into hot-rodding.

@deadlyfingers1 Yes, Alclad is the same kind of stuff and has been around for a while, I use it for modelling, that said, i remember seeing this stuff in the Eastwood resto catalogues way before model shops started stocking and selling alclad.
Believe me this has been on the go for at least 20 years

ive used heaps of these chrome paints , they never look 100% like real crome , they look more like a shiny silver if anything .

Bismuth???? "low melt alloy"....dont put near heat....turns to liquid at 110 degrees.....CHROME? chump! ....NOT chrome

US MODEL CAR GUYS HAVE HAD THIS FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. IT IS CALLED "ALCLAD ".
CHECK YOUR BETTER HOBBY SHOPS THAT SELL AND KNOW MODEL CARS !!! IT WORKS THE SAME WAY !!!
can you use this on the back of a scratched ipod touch

@deathkiller43 This could be used for that, but you would not be able to retain the ipod logo that is on the back normally as you'd be painting over it with the liquid chrome.
