Ufo sighting 31/10/09 orange orb

I was down at my mothers in edinburgh they were having a little haloween party for the kids, we were standing outside having a cigarette when we noticed the object in the sky it was going really fast faster than any plane so i dont think it was a plane, it looked like a fire ball it was glowing orange and it was sparkling slightly it went for about a minute then just faded away , about 15 minuits later someone in the garden shouted me outside there again was the object in the sky speeding very fast i got my digital camera and captured it on the camera it was really hard to capture though as it was going that fast and i had it on full zoom it faded after about a minute , every1 in the street could see this and were all shouting and screeming it was crazy.

Apparently "Says the police" they were "Chinese Lanterns" I'm sorry but what i witnessed new years night, was not a friggin chinese lantern,

Oh and for anyone that doubts what me and fee seen ASK yourself this question. WHAT WAY IS THE WIND BLOWING??? I seen it in the east of the city heading east. Fee seen it in the west of the city heading west so please tell me what way the winds blowing??? But it was only a chinese lantern...BOLLOCKS!!! What way was the wind blowing when it shot straight UP??? THINK ABOUT IT PEOPLE!!!

Hey fee meant to say was it new years eve/day just after the bells or last night? no way did nobody else see it either as half of edinburgh was on the streets as was most photographers and camera crews there got to be something in todays papers. Its also been happening since october on a regular basis no way is people letting of lanterns nearly everyday since then. Believe what you seen and let no one tell you different cause i know what you seen and you know what i seen. Thanks

hi jayboy, i saw one of these on the same night. i was outside my friends flat in polwarth area. it flew over the top of the building and was heading towards the pentlands direction. totally unexplained and there was only 1 but no way was it a latntern. it was going slowly in a straight line but with no followers, it was bvery slow, bright and no sound at all. im still very confused with disbelief.

I seen the same thing on 01/01/2010 except alot better tried to video it as did friends and it didn't show up we seen one over piershill square west that stayed static for about 5 mins then shot up during this time another 2 appeared from arthurs seat. Had the old it must have been chinese lanterns bollocks but know way was it lanterns. 45 mins later one appeared back and remained static for 5 to 10 mins before shooting off at an incredible speed. we seen 6 different orbs, 3 flying over arthur's seat and 3 flying over from the pentlands. never seen anything like it in my life and was quite spooked.

ah right thanks as i saw it in the north east around 6.25 and i have information saying it was spotted in west yorkshire at around 6pm the same night.
