Zoo Boo, presented by Meijer, is the Detroit Zoo's annual family-friendly Halloween event. Zoo Boo is a merry-not-scary Halloween celebration with a cleverly decorated half-mile trick-or-treat trail through the Zoo. Live, friendly entertainment awaits your costume-clad little ones in the Zoo Boo Revue tent, and they will be delighted to try their luck at the Ghouly Games Tent, sponsored by Blue Care Network. Be sure to stop by the Haunted Reptile House and visit the ghosts and goblins who have made it their home for the holiday season.

Stop by the new Zombie Zone, sponsored by Tim Hortons. The Zombie Zone will feature ghastly games and spooky activities sure to send a chill up your spine! Enter the Tim Hortons costume contest and have your photo taken and posted on the Zoo's website. The public will vote and a great Zoo prize will be awarded to the best costume-clad child!

Also new for Zoo Boo 2010! See the limited-release movie "The Curse of Skull Rock (teaser shown here)" at the Wild Adventure 3-D/4-D Theater. The swashbuckling adventure pits plucky cabin girl Jill Hopkins against the tyrannical Captain Scabb in pursuit of the legendary treasure of Skull Rock. 3-D glasses and 4-D effects will have you jumping out of your seat and off the gangplank! ($3 per person. FREE - Under 2 years. The 4-D special effects may be too intense for children ages 5 and under; parental discretion is advised.)

Tickets are $7 for ages 2 and up. If a date and time slot is not sold out, a limited number of tickets will be available at the gate after 5 p.m. that day for $10 per person.

Zoo Boo takes place October 15-17, 22-24, and 29-31, and tickets are available for the following times each evening: 6, 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8 p.m. Walk up sales end at 8:15 p.m. and the gates close at 8:30 p.m. each evening for entry. This event does sell out, so purchase your tickets early! Zoo Boo is a rain or shine event.

No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
