@401RoadWarrior man that's fucked up. This country is starting to resemble Nazi Germany or Soviet Russia with all these "checkpoints"
Now with the NDAA 2011, they can detain you forever if they want, pretty much for no reason.
I try not to pass through the checkpoint if I can avoid it. It's humiliating being X-rayed every single time. They have a profile they look for (out of state etc

@neptuno338 CDA: English or French (Quebec) only, USA: English only. Regardless where you're from you MUST ASSIMILATE into the local society, that includes speaking the official language of the country you live in. "everyone should speak several languages" not mandatory, that's just a personal decision, plus it's damn SHAMEFUL not to speak english anywhere in the western world in the year 2011. I was able to learn english while in school in damn communist RO in the late '60s to late '80s, so...

@401RoadWarrior I think there is a lack of use of language culture in USA because when you come to Spain we speak in english, if you are french, we speak to you in french...it's only culture, if you come to live in spain yes, you must learn spanish, everyone should speak several languages. PR is not one state of USA but belongs to the government of USA like a unincorporated territory (Associated Free State of Puerto Rico)

@neptuno338 1) Puerto Rico is NOT one of the 50 states that form the USA, ok? In PR official language is spanish when in USA is english. 2) You come to USA (same for CDA), and you MUST learn english, same as you would emigrate to Spain, what's the official language in Spain? 3) You speak spanish with ppl from MX or Cuba b/c you are a Spaniard and they speak spanish like yourself, that does not mean THEY, in America or CDA, can simply ignore that spanish is NOT the official language over here.

@401RoadWarrior in some states a lot of people speak spanish because were colonized by spanish in the past and today are a lot of emigrants from MX,Puerto Rico,Cuba,etc...now Puerto Rico is of USA too but their language is spanish.Sometimes i speak with ppl of Texas or Miami by radio and always speak me in spanish although their language is english now.

@neptuno338 Regardless where you're coming from, and any LEGAL immigrant is welcome to USA & CDA, but... among my vast politically incorrect t-shirt collection (over 50) I have one that says "Welcome to America, now speak English or get the f*** outta here". Also, I'm sure you don't know that, mexicans have never accepted that Texas is part of USA, 'The Alamo', they always consider Texas as MX land, so when they speak spanish only that's how they show everybody they do not feel americans at all.
Seems like they pulled you over for extra checking. Am I right?

@Boomerou27 Pretty much, maybe cause only a "crazy" Canadian in that remote area of TX, I don't even know they (border patrol) have heard of CDA in their recent memory LOL
Nothing important happened during that "love" at first sight kind of... meeting LOL video ended with a pretty happy... adios. LOL
Cause I've been in that area 3 times so far, 99.99% of all vehicles around that part of TX have TX plates (95%) or MX plates (5%), that's why anything else is... LOL

They started X-raying me recentlywhen I go through also. Same checkpoint. The other day I asked "why" and ended up being frisked TSA style for "being combative"
Lots of foreign plates pass through there. Mexican plates too. They don't take kindly to filmers, usually the only reason whites ever get diverted to secondary.
I get motioned to secondary for being a young stoner hispanic American :\ I wouldn't carry drugs though lol. With a K9 and X-ray that would be incredibly stupid...

@4209smoker "being frisked TSA style for "being combative"" LOL
"Lots of foreign plates pass through there. Mexican plates too." Disagree, TX and MX only, that's it. Too far from the rest of USA.
True story: 4-5 years ago, the Checkpoint just east of El Paso, I had an old Sony with those big H8 video tapes, camcorder on the dash as well, got pulled over and... 2-3 hrs in their damn "guests" room with 5-6 guys around me until they finished watching randomly lots of (already filmed) tapes...
