ferrari is a front engined v12 cruiser coupe to me. the big cars made ferrari. the race cars are incredible machines with the road car tech.

a Porsche copy and unsuccesful?
I love the 512 S and M, but they basically built it as an answer to the Porsche 917s and failed to be really succesful.
It´s still a great car to watch nonetheless, but when I think of cars that are maybe more succesful.

At the beginning you see a Ferrari 512 M, which is an early 70s Sportscar.
But you are asking a very unprecise question, at a video showing nearly all kinds of cars from the 50s until today :)

The 512 is my favourite car, road or race. I think it is a true expression of what Ferrari is supposed to be about; more so than a road car like the Enzo. It is truly a powerful and beautiful car from a glorious era unlikely to ever be repeated (unfortunately).
