if it goes too fast the spark stops so it misses slows down the spark starts again thus the hit and miss its a kind of throttle but ancient. Used less fuel

I say run the stuff no matter how rare it is. No one gets to enjoy the stuff if you don't run it. You only live once. Looks nice.

@stihl066mag it's a hit and miss engine.... The govenator limited the RPM's it would run at

It might need to be tweaked a bit, but with no timing tab or notch...this was the as close at the time of the video....I do not run this engine anymore...due to it being so rare....

what did these engines power back in the day?
MrCountrycuz 1 year ago
@MrCountrycuz, I powered a washing machine....back in the 20's - 50's rural areas did not have electricity....so this was better than the rock, wash board or hand powered washers....

what is the fruit jar for? is it the fuel tank?! whats the point?

The fruit jar is the tank...it is like the old chicken water's, fill the jar with fuel and put the lid on...lid has holes in it to let the fuel out...then you place the jar in the hole on the engine and it fills a sub-base with fuel till it is full and the rest stay in the jar till it is used...kind of a fuel gage for the ladies doing laundry.
