MCCAIN: "[...] And I need to, I probably need to start out by talking to you about, of course, what has been dominating the news of late, and it's of course, appropriately, and that is the situation in Iraq. And, uh, I know that you know, that there's been a lot of back and forth about this issue. With whether we've succeeded or not, and whether the surge was succeeded or not. And I would remind you, there are people in this room that remember very well, that well over a year ago when everybody declared my candidacy dead and I said that the strategy had failed, we got to do the surge, and the surge ended succeeding, and we will succeed. We have succeeded and we will win the war in Iraq. We are winning that war! We are winning that war. "

John McCain made a big mistake attempting to impune Obama over his successful trip to Iraq. We see pictures of hundreds of glowing soldiers surrounding Obama and McCain goes negative with all sorts of nonsense at Obama. It looks really, really bad.
