For Whom The Bell Tolls Cover: By Justin Boyd

This is a cover of For Whom The Bell Tolls I recorded. I uploaded 2 other videos of me and texas carnage, i no longer play with texas carnage. So i record songs by myself.

For this video i used a rockband micophone and set it in from of my little practice amp. i recorded all the guitar parts this way. normally i would have made the drum line using FL studio but i got lucky and found the empty drum track here on you tube. so i take no credit for that. Working off the drum track i recorded all the guitar parts. then i recorded the vocals. it's okay if you laugh at my singing i did. this was my first time ever trying to sing. it sounds horrible but i suppose it was a fun experience. The video lags a little. this is because of the camera i used. and allso i did not recorded the sound with the camera what you see me playing in the video was the lead track recorded into amixer on my computer. so basicaly i just recorded everything rythym and lead as well as vocals then for the video i just turned off the lead track while i played along with the rythym, drums, and vocal track i had laid down before. after i recorded the video i just mixed the video and my clean audio recording together lining the video up as closely as i could with the audio.

I am explaining all this as i did not want anyone to get the imprestion i was lip singing in the video i am just singing along as i do when i allways play. and i allso did not want people to wonder why the video was a few milliseconds behind.

anyhow i put this up here to see what everyone thinks

i'd greatly appretiate any constructive critisism, i can allways use hints and tips to better myself, however by that i dont mean belittle me or anyone who comments on this video :o) we are all fellow musicians, and we all have "something" yet to be learned

NOTE: i do not claim to have written this song, nor do i take any credit for its creation. Credit go to the amazing musicians of Metallica. All i did was recreate thier work in my own way, whilst trying to stay true too thier version.

On another note, i was thinking of trying to record another version droped down to say drop D or drop C, anyone have any thoughts on that? Might sound good, however i know i cannot sing, heh hell i cant even sing the original version.
