@kaliumnith I only meant jupiler in the category of casual beers. Although I must admit that in Portugal I enjoyed Super Bock. When it comes to quality beers You're right to look at trappist. And when on vacation I too like to drink the local beer in the hope to come across a special beer. And if you ever come in Blankenberge you'll need to find "Paravang". It's a cafe that serves their own beer (also called paravang) wich is absolutly fantastic.

@kristofize Belgian are you? Don't get me wrong I also think Heineken is really bad, and I don't get the support it gets, and yes indeed Jupiler is far better (and yes i'm also Belgian), but I've had far better ales (mostly German, Czech, and other European beer. I've also heard that Belgium doesn't actually have that high quality beer (I'm refering to beer with approx. 5% alcohol), but that we excel in trappists and other special beers.

@Jappeke007 Heineken is probably te worst beer in the world and sadly promoted too hard. But if your Dutch I can understand that you like Heineken since the beer comes from you. I rather take a Jupiler.
