Here is a vintage Audio-Technica 'Mister Disc' portable record player, model AT770. The audio output from this unit was fed directly into my mac for this video, as my camera does not provide the greatest sound recordings. It came with the original box and packing, as well as the transport screw with tag. Also included was the felt carrying case (never used) and the original headphones (never used). The foam pads on the headphones are crumbled and deteriorated. Also came with the owner's manual and product registration card. This unit needs some repair, the sound output is very low on the right channel. I do not know how to repair this kind of record player, and do not know why it has this problem. Everything else works, and cosmetically the player is in like-new condition. Thanks for watching!

  • What happened to the right channel? And is this belt driven or direct drive?

  • I am not sure what was wrong with the right channel. I didn't attempt to open it and find out. This unit is belt driven. Thanks for your comments!

  • i need to replace the needle. where do i look?

  • @oele You should be able to find one on ebay, and I think you can still order them from Radio Shack. Not sure of the model number (I no longer have this record player.)

  • Here I expected the voice of Opie & Anthony to come out.

  • Very cool. I have that record on 45 too. Radical record player too.

  • nice sound quality but i believe that the cable of connector phono out is damaged, maybe a cable of the cartridge is disconnect or the cable indoor to out phono line was broked anyway of this three options find the solution.

  • @xmvirus202 check your wire connections to the needle, there are four different colors, one of them is not connecting properly...I had one of these and there is only one other place it could be is the same four wires that go from the back of the record arm into the unit. They are exposed and sometimes the inner wire breaks inside the plastic.

  • I'd check the cable 1st....

  • that was cool dude! Its been a while since i seen one. -BOGAR!

  • @xmvirus202 right channel problem could be a bad needle

  • Very cool !!!
