well actually the carbon dioxide produced is heavier than ordinary air, and since the air in the bubble is largely atmospheric composition, it is lighter than the carbon dioxide, hence it floats on it, just like oil will float on water...

Does anyone know where I can purchase some dry ice? I live in Ireland and I really want some, its reallly cool!!
-
dunno why but when I saw the close up of the bubble I said AWW :3 tehe im weird

The gas pushes the bubble up, same reason you can float in a wind tunnel...
-
the steam type stuff from the dry ice keeps the extremely light bubble from sinking
-
ok why should i have a pippette if i not have a bubbleblower
-
The dry ice creates a fog like gas which allows the balloon to stay up without popping it immediately
-
Step 3. Take out your casual piece of Dry Ice you have questionably obtained from thin air and put it in the water.

@mylegoman100 Well, you have 2 be a certain age, for one thing, and you can get it anywhere, but I'm pretty sure that you need an adult 2 buy dry ice for you :P
