All of the training in the world cannot justify ONE SINGLE American military person being in Iraq or Afghanistan. It's still a war against the people of those nations, regardless of the political spin we hear. Might does NOT make right.

I have my questions as well, we should have just focused on Afghanistan, but Iraq is reality and I support the troops who were put into this situation, it has gotten better, hope it continues.

we have no place in iraq, we should never have gone there. the people we are fighting are mostly freedom fighters protecting their country or at least thinking that. if someone came into your backyard you would fight them no? hidden agendas clearly behind us being there, too many questions remain unanswered.

Vietnam was a strategic loss despite winning all the major battles, this isn't Vietnam. Vietnam was part of the overall Cold War, we won the Cold War overall, soviets collapsed, we didn't. Our 'containent policy" prevented communism from becoming the dominant form of government in the world. Soviets had there Vietnam in Afghanistan as well and we supplied the mujahadeens in that war and that war was part of the cold war also. Our objectives in afghanistan are different than soviets, etc.
