READ BEFORE WATCHING
Total crap. I mean, I think it's a good and original storyline, but AUs are deceptively hard, and I don't think I'm ever going to make one again.
Story:
Mo is a Silvertongue who lives by himself. He is reading from Inkheart when Capricorn, Basta, Dustfinger, and Dustfinger's small daughter slip out of the pages. Basta cuts Mo's arm, and Capricorn threatens Dustfinger's daughter. Dustfinger throws a powder into the flames and manages to drive Basta and Capricorn off, but in the process is grabbed, leaving his daughter behind. A very confused Mo looks around and sees that the girl is still there. He takes her in and names her Meggie.
Nine years pass. Dustfinger, trapped in Capricorn's village, is constantly haunted by the look of terror on his daughter's face, and resolves to escape and find her. He finally does manage to break free, and begins to search the world for his daughter.
In one village, he sees a girl trying to stroke Gwin. When Gwin snaps at her, he warns her not to stroke Gwin, and notices that she looks a little familiar. It is only when Mo comes out of the nearby bookshop that Dustfinger realizes that this is Meggie--his daughter!
Mo rushes forward and knocks Dustfinger to the ground. While he is winded, Mo grabs Meggie and runs...Dustfinger stares after them.
Mo and Meggie return to their home. Meggie asks Mo what happened, but he doesn't tell her. He is about to open the front door when it opens from the inside. It is Basta! He and the Black Jackets grab Mo and Meggie. When Mo resists, he is knocked out. Dustfinger watches, hidden, as they are taken to the van.
Mo and Meggie are taken to Capricorn's village and thrown into the stable. Mo begins to explain to Meggie what is happening--how he is a Silvertongue, and how Capricorn, Basta, and Dustfinger came out of Inkheart. Dustfinger, who has followed them to break them out, hears him explain and listens. When he realizes that Mo is leaving out something, he enters the stable and says that Mo forgot one important thing--that fact that Meggie is his daughter.
Meggie, in shock, runs out the stable. Dustfinger goes to follow her, but Mo grabs him and shoves him back, following her himself. Mo catches up to Meggie, only to run into Basta. Basta approaches Meggie with his knife. Dustfinger has followed, but is struggling as he remembers how Basta scarred his face. Finally, his conscience wins over and he grabs Basta. Mo breaks free and starts attacking Black Jackets, as does Dustfinger. Basta gets close to Meggie and raises his knife. Mo and Dustfinger react at the same time.
Mo tackles Basta, sending him to the ground. Dustfinger runs forward and begins to light everything on fire. Basta and the Black Jackets run off. Meggie realizes who her true father is and runs forward to hug Dustfinger.
Mo, Meggie, and Dustfinger leave the village. Mo allows Meggie to leave with Dustfinger, and reads them both to the Inkworld. Dustfinger, Meggie, and Roxane are reunited at last...
Except for the fact that Meggie never showed up in the last scene...oh, well. Be warned: clothes, backgrounds, etc. will continually change on you. Just ignore it.

OH! I found out what it means! *yahoo answers = love*
It means Alternate Universe. It's pretty much using the characters from a movie, book, etc, and putting them in situations that totally don't happen in the book, movie, etc.
Do I get a cookie?
