  • Ça c'est superbe. Belle musique.

  • S.N.C.F. = Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (French National Railways Society)

  • Soicete Nationale Chemins de fer

  • I know TGV is french for Trains at High Speeds, but what does SNCF mean or stand for ?

  • @Germancius so true. The wire height on the NEC is probably close to the height of the wires on the Eurotunnel.

  • @BarrieBusesandTrains also... the TGV could need a bigger pantograph...

  • @ma7799 Both are Standard gauge. It probably could if the appropriate safety systems were put in. Also, the electrical equipment would have to be upgraded from 25kV 50Hz of SNCF to 25kV 60Hz of Amtrak. But the speed would be limited bacuase of the NEC's track which I believe can only sustain125, 140 MPH at the most. But with the right minds, and a good budget, they could probably do it.

  • Can someone please translate this for me?

  • Could the TGV run on the northeast corridor? It is standard gauge, right?

  • Me encanta la vision de futuro que transmite el video, como hace 30 años vendieron la moto, sin duda i+d y un monton de trabajo, son estas pequeñas maravillas las que hacen grande a un pais, y sobre todo si lo hacen con tecnologia propia.
