i did just the opposite, took off the gt emblems and put a v6 bumper on it. i think the nitto315s and the sound of the kenne bell are a dead give away!
-
The 305 is a dog of a motor, hell the 5.0 302 was a dog with the auto until you modded it. My Focus ST will take my roommates 88 5.0 auto. I believe it was the 305, that motor sucked...

@AlmothePirate Feel free to continue to assume all you want.
-
@DJSlurp1200 dude. i didnt assume. i used a little bit of knowledge and logic to deduce that the guy has a v6 and told everyone he had a v8, like an idiot. mustang owners do it all the time. paint their car and put GT emblems on it, maybe some blowmasters, and people like yourself buy it.

@AlmothePirate I love it when some people see this video and automatically assume because the firebird loses "It's not a v8! It has to be a v6!" LOL...
I figured by making the vid and uploading it folks would believe me but I guess since its up then people have to nitpick the video still...

@jsnappdaddy1988 How in Gods name do you think a zetec is better than a Duratec?
-
@sparton04 that is so BS the ford focus was launched in 2000 with a zetec engine option my focus is a 2000 (I have papers to prove it along with the recalled doors that it had and the dealer ship payed for) and it has a zetec engine my friend has a 2001 focus with a zetec engine and Ive seen it run the 13s on NOS (he drives it to collage like me) any way the tranny thing was just some people trying to put zetec engines on trannys desgined for duratec
-
@jacobgnarlif and for u dude the zetec ended in 2004 where the duratec 2.0 and 2.3L came in in the end of 2004 and through current. The 2.3L was dropped from the new style focus after 2007, when they switched to new gen.
Also the zetec was introduced in 2002 I know trhis because ford tried to use old tranny with new motor pre may of 2002 and it didnt work at all. After may of 2002 they switched trannies and changed the shift knob to prove which tranny the car had in it.
-
@jsnappdaddy1988 i beg to differ the turbo duratec destroys the supercharged zetec
-
@sparton04 wrong!!!!!!!! in the first 2 years ford used a zetec engine witch was relesed some time in the 90s the zetec had replaced the zeta engine whtch has been in the ford famiely scince the 80s. In 2002 they replaced zetec name plate with a duratec name plate. while the original desgine for the 1.8L zetec was masda that engine was never in the ford focus and scince then the name has changed once and the displacement has changed 3 times so not there is no masda left in the ford focus!
dude thats a v6. theres no way a ford 4 banger would come close to a chevy v8, no matter how much you riced it up.

@AlmothePirate I haven't done anything to my car.... It's about 99.9% stock with the only mod being just a Steeda SRI. Again the 305 v8 is only a 170hp motor and not one of chevy's "sweetest" engines...

@DJSlurp1200 you sir, are a ruh-tard. that was the POS carbed 305. the decent 305 (which was not one of chevys "sweetest" engines, as you claim) was the TPI, which made 215 stock.
AlmothePirate 1 year ago
@AlmothePirate either way carbed or TPI it's a v8 losing to a naturally aspirated 4cyl focus with just an intake...
