Gun crew at the reenactment of the Battle of San Jacinto fire a replica of one of the famous 'Twin Sisters', which were a pair of 6 pounder smooth bore cannons given as a gift to the Texians by the city of Cincinatti Ohio. Reenactment took place at the San Jacinto Battleground Historic Site on 24 April 2010

  • @340wbymag keep it, it might be from the battle

  • Now your grandkids want to shoot it too, right? LOL!! I bet that little cannon jumps back a lot more when it's actually got a projectile in it.

  • I found a cannon ball that may have actually been from one of the Twin Sister cannons buried in the mud not far from the San Jacinto Monument almost thirty years ago. It is an iron ball approximately 1.5 inches in diameter, and though there is no way to verify its source, there is a good chance that I have a really cool piece of Texas history!.

  • very cool

  • NICE!
