to be honest I actually prefer the keira knightley version it was much more moving and less awkward but still retained the beauty and amazing dialogue of the book plus to be honest colin firth does nothing for me I much prefer the better intensity of matthew's performance as Mr Darcy & the more passionate & moving performance of Keira as Elizabeth not 2 mention the scene in which Elizabeth tells her father she loves Darcy is much more emotional in the keira knightley version than it is in this 1

Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy is so fuckable.

@mrssyringa this serie is awsome and certaintly loove colin flirth but there´s something about mcfayden that drives me crazy....

I'm sad they didn't include the weddings in the film version :(
Although I love this series, i did prefer the father/daughter scene in the film, Donald Sutherland & Keira Knightley knocked it out of the park. There wasn't much emotion in this version of the scene

i saw colin firth and jennifer ehle again in many other movies, but the rest of the cast, i havent seen them again in any movie. i loved this version, and the movie too. they both have their own character.

The movie version was "Hollywood" & didn't develop the characters or story due to time. The romance was too modern for the time.Elizabeth was flighty & girlish, not clever & witty. It was enjoyable but could not compare for authenticity. It's a matter of personal choice.I enjoyed both but the restraint of the characters in the 1995 version made you want to shout "Kiss her dammit". That's what made the kiss at the end so special.Firth has a deserved Oscar & proved his talent before & since P&P.

Mr Darcy is the ultimate romantic hero and Colin Firth is first class in the role.
Every girl should have a Mr Darcy in her life. I just hope mine is yet to come.
Preferably with Colin Firth in the role. No other man comes a close second.
