In the past, keeping the bedadene up and using a scaple to scrape away all dead, funny coloured skin daily works for me, however if true, i was impressed by the asprin method.

So asprin and daily cutting of the skin would help.

I personaly just keep antiseptic fluids up to it "best is benadene" and keep it dry. when you get home from work take your shoes off asap and dont ware socks around the house or to bed.

If you can see a white 'puss' head, simply prick the head with a pin and squeeze the puss out, wipping it up with a tissue.

Again always reapply the bedadene to ensure the open wound does not become further infected!

The reason there was less pain after the first use of asprin was because the drug was being absorbed into the blood stream, and asprin is designed to releve pain...

Areas of the skin on the foot that become inflamed and shiny are infected. Its shiny because the skin is so inflamed that it has streched.

You either need to go to the doctors if it doesn't go down in 24-48 hours, or go STRAIGHT away if it gets any worse.
