Great clip. Andrew Wheating comes from behind to win the 800 meters at the 2009 Pac 10 track and field Championships at Haward Field in Eugene Oregon. Great race.

  • Oh and not to get into all that shit down below but hell let's throw in PREs race in Munich he sat back tried to make a move got fucked took a step back tried again and yet fucked again then he goes all out with four to go and viren and two other guys past him. No doubt in my mind if pre would've waited say 150 more meters to make his move he would've caught viren sleeping and if not gold at least silver or bronze.

  • I ran a race 3rd to last the whole race until the last 300 I slowly moved up and out kicked the 2 best in the state in the last 100 ohh how I love track. And bowerman is not dummy it does take more energy to lead

  • The sit & kick tactic actually works VERY well...I use it in all of my races and win by a mile....all Wheating has to do is put a little more at first, he doesn't have to force the pace, because THAT tactic is a waste of energy....he just has to bring it up a tiny bit at 300-400m, and then use his kick :)

  • Andrew Wheating > Robby Andrews Enough said.

  • @jkma604 yeah...lucky he didn't have to destroy robbie andrews' spirits after dominating him. Wheating just kicked Andrews ASS this weekend and then came back and won the 1,500. and swept the top 3 with Oregon runners. bow down.

  • i dont know if you guys realize this but andrew did have a 1500 race before the 800...

  • @dchartier1 trust me im not lying I could tell you anything there is to know about him losing to Pre by a tenth of a second, in the penn relays wall of fame twice, nova hall of fame etc..but anyway the Kenyans dominate everybody for the most part, the sit and kick works for him in college, but he is getting shown up this year by robby andrews, still he is very accomplished at his age and i doubt he will sit and kick forever

(ASSUMIING you're telling the truth -- there's a LOT of BS on the Internet) I give RESPECT to your father as a HIGHLY ACCOMPLISHED track athlete. That said, I don't see HOW Wheating's SIT-AND-KICK tactics are going to WORK at the INTERNATIONAL LEVEL. He does't have the SPEED for that to work. The KENYANS will EAT HIM ALIVE. As an OLYMPIAN, he should have his sights SET HIGHER than winning PAC-10 by 0.02 seconds and NOW is the time to start changing his STRATEGY!

  • @dchartier1 John Hartnett ran for Nova from Ireland 3:54.7 mile.

  • @rsjh3adshot

It is DISGUSTING that an OLYMPIAN runs these kinds of CHICKEN SH*T RACES in a COLLEGE MEET! Someone with his RESUME shouldn't be trying to GET BY FINE. He OWES THE COUNTRY more than THAT!

    Who's your Dad?
