@madge555 She actually has sung this song live well many times. Here on Oprah is one and she is 100% live and sounding great and in key. She has given bad performances of this certainly. Her brother, as I pointed out, has said she refuses to do proper vocal warmups before performing which results in her being really on (91 Oscars) or really off ( 98 VMAs). ROL is a very hard song to sing and Natasha Beddingfield said she has great respect for M's vocal range after singing ROL herself.

@SHEHASACOCK I've seen her perform it ACTUALLY live many times. On the Confessions Tour and Sticky and Sweet. No backtrack little monster. Backup singers. She has mostly sung ROL live and pretty good considering it is an extremely hard song to sing. The MTV performance was awful. Madonna's brother said she rarely bothers to do proper vocal warmups before performing so she is either really on ( 91 Oscars) or really off (98 VMA's). But she has sung ROL live many times and done very well.
