Good thing we don't have the FCC in my country... Or else they I would be jeopardized with all my electronics projects and experiments, LoL!
FRS Radios are toys in my Country, nobody would mind using it modified or not. With the advent of Chinese radio-cellphones, telemetry, pagers, and wi-fi routers, monitoring the FRS frequencies comes irrelevant and the only time you will get caught is when somebody complained that you are causing interference.
on the motorola radio, did you put some kind of insulation barier between the shield of the bnc and were the antenna used to connect or??? I would be affraid of getting a short there...Just Curious...thanks.

Would you say to use a full wave whip or 1/2 or 1/4 for best result. I am using GR58 coax should it be RG75 for 446mhz PMR?
