The Peace Rehabilitation Center is an organization that focuses on the rescue and rehabilitation of girls who have been trafficked into the sex trade of India. It is estimated that there are currently 400,000 Nepali females in the Indian brothels. Each year thousands of girls are kidnapped, sold, or tricked into this slavery. These new victims replace those who have been kicked out of the brothels because they are not able to service customers. Many suffer from HIV/AIDS or have other sicknesses that prevent them from making money for their owners. In order to fight against this injustice PRC focuses on both the preventative measures, as well as the rescue/rehabilitation of trafficked girls.
