The Earth can only yield a finite amount, especially of non-renewables that make our current golden age so luxurious - copper, oil, coal, natural gas, etc. We are evolving in a bubble, and being an intelligent species, I consider it our duty to look at the future, and curb our use for the sake of those to come in the distant future.

There are enough resources for everyone on the planet to live well, providing they are managed intelligently. thank god someone is discussing inevitable reality. it's easy math: limited resources + too many people = war forever. wars over food, water, land, resources, forests etc, all the while people will have less as the earth is raped and pillaged, and global warming really kicks in in a century or so. quit being selfish people. there are generations to come that we owe consideration. 2 babies per couple, thats it. done. easy. resources are limited, we must control population. this guy is an idiot.

@bravone1 this guy is a complete head in the sand retard. global overpopulation is the root of all strife, war, pollution, deforestation etc. it's simple math, there are not unlimited resources - just the opposite. we must control our global population at some point, otherwise humans are a cancer to the planet, and there will not be enough for anyone. what is so hard to grasp about that. everyone gets two babies. whats the problem? exponential population growth is the root of all problems.
