Ariel Artigas Severino, is a Transdisciplinary Artist and Designer born in Uruguay, who has been residing in São Paulo, Brazil since 1974. His art involves us. He plays with sound and image, with white and black, with shape and depth, with mystery and surprise, with symbols and concepts, with humor and sobriety, with the built and the buildable, with the old and the new, with cold and hot. According to Ken Wilber we possess three realms for accessing knowledge: the eye of flesh, the eye of reason and the eye of contemplation, three realms that reveal three different aspects of the world. The material world is concrete and sensorial (sensibilia). The symbolic world is conceptual and linguistic (intelligibilia). The spiritual world is transcendent and transpersonal (transcendelia).

We can accede through our computer screen Ariel Severinos Tyrannical Love. We are invited to look through our three eyes. We are invited to pursue a path. Given the title, our sensibility leads us to a given place, however, if we pay attention to the concept and look for the meaning of the word tyrannical, or its origin, the title leads us to another place. And if we can transcend our previous trips, we will perhaps arrive somewhere else. The preciseness of sound, time spent between one image and another, between one sound and another, lifts us with its pulse to overlap different trips. We even move, some may even dance in front of their computer depending on the environment around them and their particular culture.
Some will hear their heart bark. The preciseness of the image, of the image chosen and the image built follow the preciseness of the sound and of the concept. Everything is finely studied. From the type of font, the space between letters, to the size and color of both letters and other images to the mounting of a digital painting that opens up other worlds and appears as a jigsaw puzzle being built. Ariel investigates, knows and extracts the most from all digital resources at his reach. He does so with utmost creativity and sensibility. The skin. The heart. The souls expression. The pumping. The tyrannical blow. The chime. The hearts flag. The Tyrannical Love. The Candombe.
