Rich Timperio has been at the center of the Williamsburg art scene for over fifteen years, curating, promoting and supporting a vast number of local and international artists. Known as someone who's a "soft touch", his Bedford Avenue gallery, Sideshow has launched and revived the careers of generations of artists and. His yearly Christmas show has grown to be the largest annual open call exhibition in New York, recently numbering over 300 participants. These activities have required Rich's attentions at the expense of his own practice, so it is with great admiration that we view Timperio's return to painting
