Apes have gone to the moon ^_^ organisms fit into a niche and there is only one primate that creates advanced technology... BECAUSE YOU DESTROY COMPETITION ;D The other primates are adapted to their environments. Indigenous populations learn what is safe to eat by watching chimps because they are smarter about surviving in the wilderness than humans.
