I am officially returning to Youtube! But all the good stuff I have been working on to post isn't qquuitee where I want it yet. But I wanted to post something. Especially since I re-strung Honey and she sounds amazing.

But yeah, this is an old song I never recorded cuz it isn't that amazing and I can't sing in the style I like. But I always had fun singing it after a hard days work. Makes me smile =) One of my few happy sounding songs.

Lyrics:
All my songs are so buttercup
All my songs I just write too much
Could you help me roughen them up?

All my songs have simple chords
I write them when I get bored
The simplicity is maddening
Or at least to me

Well maybe if live wasn't so complicated
I could make some more complex arrangements
But see you know that life is not so simple
So I'll keep playing at this easy tempo

And all my songs are so buttercup
All my songs
All my song I just write too much

I keep playing and you keep talking
I wonder when you'll notice I'm not listening

See, I play my music to unwind
So if you could just be so kind...
See when I play everything around just fades away
And if you keep talking-not listening to a word you say

And I'm not saying this to be rude
Cuz you can sing along if you want to!

And all my songs are so buttercup
All my songs
All my songs I can't write enough

  • Totally forgot about this song. And all your songs are buttercup. Especially this one.

  • @motopack Dude, most of my songs are pretty depressing. I go for "Iry". At least my recent stuff. But I recently discovered I don't actually have a lot of just random happy Buttercup songs. They are all just more simple than anything else... ... IIII think anyway

  • Lou Reed said "One chord is fine. Two chords is pushing it. Three chords and you're into jazz." I think most of us work in three chords or so.

  • I love all your buttercup songs! Can't wait to see whats next. So happy to have you back!
