Edward Kennedy Memorial Service - Caroline Kennedy

Caroline Kennedy, the niece of the late Sen. Edward Kennedy, pays tribute to her uncle at his memorial service at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston, which she calls "the library that Teddy built."

She praised Teddy for his "passion, self-discipline and generosity." "He touched so many hearts," she said.

She added: "Teddy lived for the future... But when a new generation came along, in typical Teddy style, he decided to take it all to a new level... Now he is a part of history."

Caroline is a sensitive, intelligent, caring, capable woman who has seen her father assassinated, her mother die way too young, her uncle gunned down, her brother killed under mysterious circumstances.  And then, , the media went after her for daring to want to serve her country as a senator. . By the way, Ted was working for health care for us all. He might not have needed to go to Canada for treatment, but a lot of the rest of us would be lucky if we could. Well done, Caroline.

Whenever I see images of Caroline and John John, especially when they were children, I get so moved. They seemed so sweet and unscathed by the horrors that they, at a young age, were exposed to. When seeing this, I get the same feeling in what was a lovely tribute to her uncle. I hope she has found happiness and peace in her life after the passing of her whole immediate family. My heart goes out to her!

Also, whoever said that Ted got this just through Joseph Sr...You are completely wrong there. Ted's father died in 1969. Ted worked hard to get where he was. If it was just his father who did all the work...How did Ted stay in the senate for 40+ years? Jesus Christ.
