The Sims 2 [downloading custom content] Hair :3

If you look in the video response there's a tutorial for people who prefer to do it without winrar. :)
I can't answer any comments at the moment, I'm studying for my exams, sorry :) Also, this is MY way of downloading custom content, I'm aware of the other ways, but please don't post comments here confusing people with all the other methods. :)
edit; I'm thinking of redoing this tutorial, or at least make a better one. I take requests now. ^^

Here's a little quick explanation of what to do ;

1) Download and install winrar (or use another zip program that works for you)

2) Go to the site you want to use to download the hairstyle from, in my video ; www.xmsims.com

3) Download mesh file (save to deskop or something)

4) Dowload color file (save to deskop or something)

5) Select the files, right-click and choose extract here

6) Take the .package files (white paper things on my pc )

7) Move them to Documents -EA Games - The Sims 2 - Downloads

(If you don't have a Downloads folder, make one)

Since Im always getting so many questions about where i get my sims and custom content in The Sims 2, Im making a tutorial since I dont have time to explain everything to everyone who asks :3

Here is some things you need:

WINRAR [or any other zip programs, i like winrar :P] You can download a free 40 days trial from this site: http://www.win-rar.com/download.html
[you dont really have to pay after the trial, you'll only get a message everytime you open the program that tells you to pay after the trial.. yea.. free :3 ]

The Sims 2 .

Now, before you start downloading, make sure you only download things compatible with your game. If you have The Sims 2 only, then dont download anything for The Sims 2 Freetime or something.

Lets start with something simple, like downloading hair :3
1) www.xmsims.com has a lot of great hairstyles for you sims, lets download a random one ;P

- Go to the page with the hair you want
- Click the picture that says MESH, you'll need that file for the hairstyle to show up in your game :) Download that one
- Download one or more color files
[save them to a place you'll find them again, like your deskop ;P ]

2) Right-click and select exstract here; after that:
- Delete the read-me file
- Delete the winrar files things..
- Keep only the two white package files ^^

3) Go to EA games - The sims 2 - Downloads
- Put the files in the Downloads folder

And you're done ;P You'll find your hairstyle in your game, under the color you downloaded :)

Hey i have a little problem. When i download hair to my computer and open the zip files, is the hair sent, but the hair is that longt/short hair and NOT that hair i want.

@xMJslovergirlx Yeah I have windos 7 too. I just tried it then, and the xm sims readme file didn't come with it, but they seemed to download proplerly. I haven't been on my game to see if they have installed, but they should have :)

@AlesiaCp What is a coputer? If you mean COMPUTER and it's not in your game, you wasted nothing.
