  • Goodbye, General MacArthur. You did the Academy, the Army, and America proud. You're an inspiration to us all. I expect you and God had one hell of an argument over who got to run Heaven once you got up there. I'll be interested to see who is still in charge when I get up there myself someday.

  • I am South Korean. My whole family and whole country respect this great man because he came to fight for our country. Who knows? Without him, South or North Korea might not be on the map of the world today! We look onto him as a father. A great father. I pray and hope every night for him so that he may be happy in heaven. He was a true soldier. One who fought for his country and helped another. R. I. P. MacArthur. :'( My family loves him.

  • General MacArthur is a student of General Pershing , my inspiration .....

  • American lobby and establishment killed and get rid of good people; JFK, RFK, MLK, General Douglas MacArthur, Patton.

  • I am japanese... we respected mac carther for he understood our culture and was sensitive to it..even though he had the power to take it away from us...we looked at him as a father.....sadly the politicians in washington feared his ways.....also Patton...whom they killed...sad how Americans always vote in the wrong people.....

  • @hulkyone Wrong, he wasn't willing to nuke china, he wanted to bomb their supply lines so that the Chinese would stop supplying North Korea although it would've made the war longer Truman wasnt trying to win the war.

  • General Mac is not Man of the year nor Man of the decade,he's the man of the century. He was born to be a soldier! life time service to our nation.

  • This United States General and his army saved us Aussies from the Japanese who tried to steal our country in ww2. The British abandoned us by surrendering Singapore to the invading Japanese. Then the Japanese then dropped more bombs on our Northern capital city (Darwin) than they did on Pearl Harbor. MacArthur saved Australia from enslavement and total destruction at the hands of the brutal Japanese invaders. What a legend - thankyou from Australia!
