It was only about 5 years ago, we only found out about the fact both sides of The Riots' 45 were compiled onto LPs and CDs. My uncle had no clue until my brother and I started doing Web searches. One night I had my uncle meet me at my father's house and told him to be ready for the shock of his life. My uncle couldn't believe when I handed him the Teenage Shutdown CD. He thought we had a phony cd made as a gag. None of the other Riots had any idea either. He told them when they got together.

Hi--Actually, The Riots, including my uncle, were from Chicago, just a few blocks from Lincoln Park. They used to practice in my grandmother's basement on Mohawk St.

Hi-My uncle Larry Dieden was from The Riotsand one of his bandmates wrote this song. Nice to see bands like it enough to cover it.
Whoops. What I meant to say, is that my uncle, Larry Dieden, who was in The Riots, and one of his bandmates wrote this song. In fact, my uncle sings lead on this song with The Riots. Again, it is cool to see other bands like this song enough to cover it. Next time I see my uncle, I'm going to show him this video. I think he'll get a kick out of it.

That's awesome! So little is known about that band. The song can be heard on Garage Punk Unknowns Vol. 8. They were an Ohio band, yes?
