Sylvania Schools Race For The Cure

Over 200 members of the Sylvania Schools community participated in the annual Race For The Cure Sept. 30 in downtown Toledo. The Sylvania Schools District has been rated Excellent with Distinction by the State of Ohio for the past 5 years. Over 87 percent of its graduates go on to higher education earning over $12 million in scholarships. Sylvania Schools boasts:

* 5 National Merit Scholars; 6 Commended Students
* Over 20,000 hours of service to the community; donating over $60,000 to various organizations
* $12 Million in Scholarships, including army and naval appointments and athletic scholarships
* Nearly 20% on Honor Roll (over 3.5 GPA)
* 113 President's Awards of Excellence
* 689 students taking 25 AP courses
