Its not that we need the oil so bad but we need to keep the american dollar for oil system going to create a strong dollar. This is why America can run up super deficiets and has the baddest military this world has ever seen, there is a strong demand for american dollars. After oil production in IRAN gets screwed up we will have China right where we want them, spending back all their saved dollars and Euros to buy oil, while at the same time we print dollars and buy up supply

Who cares?? Guess what nation has been stepping back from Middle East oil...AMERICA is now down to 20% dependancy and vastly outnumbers the rest of the world in oil reserves. The superpower that is most dependant on middle eastern oil is now CHINA, primarily Iranian oil. What people dont understand is America doesnt have to show up in IRAN with guns, all we have to do to bring IRAN down is disrupt oil supply
