We go every year and have a great time. I used to work there 12 years ago when Rank owned it, they didn't get rid of anything Sir Billy had there, it was Borne leisure that removed all the expensive to run attractions like the mono rail and
chairlifts. But it is still as great as ever as looks amazing with the skyline and landscaping, as for Moldiepoops comments, you should know better as a Minehead resident, Lovely as Minehead is,without Butlins bringing tourist in the town would have died!

Yeah Butlins started going downhill once 'Rank' took over. All they were interested in was making more profit each year. After they took over the gaiety theatres went, cable cars, all the good old fashioned fun!! Still I suppose things have to move with the times.

Yeah I agree. I worked at Minehead 1994- 1998. It was better then, B4 all the sky- line pav's came along. I would have loved 2 have worked there years ago though, when it was proper 'Hi- Di- Hi' style!!

I live in Minehead. And I can assure everybody that it is, thanks to Butlins, a pile of S**T. Yeah, I said it. The skyline ruined it even more, the whole thing is an eyesore. Butlins is a rat filled, dirty, disgusting place, I dont know how you could have enjoyed it...=[ sorry x

I love butlins. i just cme bak from a holiday there. It was in minhead, it was brilliant there is always something to do there and you can never be bored.

YOU ARE SPOT ON, it was a lovely "family" place before, competitions etc, now its for little bastards to get pissed and go on the pull, its like a Saturday night around the clubs in any UK city but they can go back to a shalle't instead of a park.
