Darrell & Mona McCall, their daughter Guyanne and their record label, Heart of Texas Records (Tracy Pitcox) gave me permission to make any and all Darrell McCall videos
.Darrell McCall and his wife Mona McCall are the most under-rated country singers out there. They are REAL country!! I made this video fairly quickly and just used random pictures. Most all of these pictures are of a very young Darrell McCall.

In 1962, McCall signed with Phillips Records as a country music singer. He released the hit "A Stranger Was Here," which peaked at #17. Later in the year he performed the theme for the film Hud, which starred actor Paul Newman

One of my favorite songs from 1962. I've not heard it in the past 40 years. I saw Darrell when he fronted a Ray Price show in 63. He has such a great voice. Thanks for posting this. I will listen often now that I've found it.
