Actually, more accurately, the more revolutions in the ball, the more spin.
That can be done by giving it more flight, but that usually results in enough time for the batsmen to predict exactly where the ball will land, and knowing the type of spin, could be more harmful than helpful for bowler, some flight, but not over-doing it.
