In England we don't add bread to the mix, just onions and seasoning and fresh sage finely chopped. We also have them with homemade shortcrust pastry.

most people in England eat them for dinner or tea ot just a snack. Not really for breakfast. Also sausagemeat is seasoned enough so no need to add anymore things to it
