Good question. I used glyptal for oil shedding. I wanted to make the inside of all the engine cases as slippery as possible. Glyptal has been used for many years for just that purpose in HP engine building. The cases were cut wire shot peaned and then ultrasonic cleaned. No bead blasting on anything.
