Some of the best lyric-driven songs in this style since Joni Mitchell's Blue. I'm also reminded of some of L. Cohen's darker earlier stuff (Songs from a Room, Songs of Love & Hate). Still, these songs are unique and sometimes stirring, and seem sincere rather than studied or derivative. Great stuff..

Her range is amazing, and she's a smoker aswell, anytime I smoke my range is practically cut in half >.< such an amazing talent, so many people say "I wish there were more like her blah blah", I'm glad there isn't, it lets you really appreciate her for what she is, can't wait for her next album
