I was just a kid when I met Wayne. He liked my style and told me that if I ever wanted anything to do with Elvis just call his number and it would be done. Well being a big Elvis fan I called and he made reservations for me and friends maybe 15 times.
He has always been my idol not for what he did but for just the thought that he would do something like that just because he liked that I was a good person (teenager). So if Wayne ever sees this thank you for a beautiful life.

@TheJimmiejohnsonfan Wayne is a legend whether or not he gets in the Rock N Roll HOF. He is so much better than 90% of the "artists" in there now.

Wayne and the Riders definitely should be in the HoF. No reason against it. Brilliant.

I love it! I 1st saw the film in 1970 at the Atlantic Drive-In, near Atlantic City. I ran the film also, at the RKO Trent Theatre in Trenton, NJ. In 1984, I was working as a projectionist, near Atlantic City (Towne 4 Theatre). Joe Nameth came in to see "The Natural". He was with a very pretty lady. After the show, I told him that I had run some of his films, over the years, like Norwood, CC & CO, & The Last Rebel. He rolled his eyes when I said the last Rebel, & laughed & shook my hand.

Wayne Cochran, I had one of his albums that I bought in the early sixties at a Rexall Drugstore for about a buck. He had a huge boufant white hairdo, and intrigued I bought the album. My sister and I nearly wore it out. The Best. I would love to have it again. He was the male Janis Joplin, sang from his toes on up.
