caballe is quite wonderful here. but she is one of the great great singers of the 20th century! the only fault is that she has to be compared to beverly sills in this role and its hard for any singer to measure up to sills total command of this aria, each phrase of sill is not only vocal magic, but phrased with that incredible pathos that is entriely sills.

...such an amazing video! I really like Caballé in this particular aria, I think she brings such a powerful dramatic nuance... she is very powerful, dramatic and pasionate like the spanish woman she is... she's amazing... I'm gonna look for Sill's performance to see that too... ñ_ñ...
