  • Thanks for posting this one it brings back some great memories. We beat Oregon and Louisville Both in the last seconds of each game. Then this close one against UNLV. What a great run they had. I can still fondly remember rushing from the dorms in a "wild herd" to the riot in the village. WAtching the "village idiot" swing from the street light, lol.

  • I was very fortunate to be at that game, that was a great college basketball doubleheader first game was Loyola Marymount vs. Alabama and then the game shown above. Ball State played Unlv it's toughest game of the tournament.

  • If any one has the dunk on Louisville, please post. Chandler threw down on LaBradford Smith!

  • Thanks for the post, ive been looking for footage of that game for years!! I was a student then and remember the bon fires with dorm furniture and toilet paper streaming from Lafollette

  • my dad was david eha if you guys heard of him he played in 85

  • @Chaosseed66 : That is awesome that you are actually a student then. I don't know if the basketball program will ever go that far again, although Billy Taylor has made some progress as head coach.

  • @Chaosseed66 lol that village idiot sat next to me in Math. He was holding the picture of him on the front page of the paper on top of the street light. That was a great run for a small school. This was my freshman year at BSU. Good Times

  • His dunk over LaBradford Smith of Louisville in the second round that year was even better. I got to see them both in person, working for the Ball State Daily News. Hard to believe how close BSU came to beating the Rebels.
