Though our media doesn't often point this out, the 134,000 heroes serving in the Afghan National Army have made extraordinary sacrifices in the name of freedom and Afghanistan. Next time someone says "Afghans aren't willing to fight for their country, so why should we bother?" show them this video.
Another thing: Nine years into this war, we are realizing that if we ever hope to pull our troops out, we must have competent Afghan security forces to take over our task of keeping Afghanistan secure and free from the clutches of the Taliban and other Wahhabi lunatics. So we really must pray for, help train, and assist the Afghan Army and Police - they are our key to finally leaving Afghanistan.
If you are wondering if there is anything you can do to support these heroes, you might like Spirit of America's fundraising project for caps, boots, and jackets for the Afghan National Army located here:

@OhmgrownCron The last time I posted on this was 6 months ago :L but I'll still answer you anyway. My opinion's changed since then. I'll admit that before I was being very arrogant and not really listening to anyone else; war can't be avoided forever, but I still believe that there shouldn't be the amount of propaganda for it that there is, and I also believe that the USA shouldn't be involved in a civil war of another country. It's up to the country to take action against a local threat.

Thank you for posting this video, its difficult to find real news about Afghanistan, or any war for that matter. I plan on joining the military. Not so much as to fight for my country, but for what it represents. I would volunteer to go to Afghanistan any day, and give my life, so that a generation in that country can grow up and not know the effects of war. This is a war we cannot afford to loose, I just wish more people understood that.

@greentrigger Since we are all faced with death at one point, who among us are willing to sacrifice their lives so that the rest of us can live in peace and be free?

@greentrigger Killing in war is a means to an end not and end in itselfat a stategic level. Also most of the people who make those videos are not in the military and have never been in war. If the're indoctrinated it is only because they wished to be indoctrinated.

@XXGDUBSXX lol lesser things? You think killing people is more important? The average person doesn't think that way you know... and have you even seen half of these videos about patriotism? It's absolutely ridiculous what kinds of things people come out with in them. If they're not indoctrinated then they're either exceedingly guillable or they have something wrong with them.

@greentrigger How is someone in the military wasting there life? And if they are isn't it their own business if they want to waste it i've seen far more people doing lesser things than being in the military. The United States has no conscription today, nobodies being forced into the military. You just aren't a soldier or a warrior and have no interest to be one so you think anyone who does is a brain washed fool.

@XXGDUBSXX "Everybody dies, if someones sad about it so what?" this is why I'm wasting my time trying to explain this to you... there's a difference bewtween living your life and wasting it...
greentrigger 6 months ago
@greentrigger Whats your point? Your talking as if people only die if they go to war. Everybody dies, if someones sad about it so what? They'd be sad if you died of a car accident or old age. Most people don't go to war to get killed if that's what your implying.

@XXGDUBSXX People always have someone that cares about them, it's not just family. If your family encourages it then you don't have much of a choice in the matter, but if not it's stupid.. you'd have to be pretty selfish to join the army just to get killed and having everyone that knows you carry the burden of your death for the rest of their lives, and it's sad because it happens all the time. I don't care about people that survive 7+ trips to wherever, there's always a risk of getting killed..

@greentrigger Who says all soldiers have a caring families? Or perhaps they have a military family that supports their military service. What's so ridiculous about serving ones country? Who said their all fighting for the glory of their nation. How are they brain washed? Because they don't think like you do? I plan on joining the military but it's not out of a sense of nationalism or glory, but for opprotunity, education, experiance and Duty to my Ideals. But I guess im a brain washed fool :P
