2009 Infiniti G37 Airbag Defect - Bad Customer Service

So I hit a pothole in my new 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe causing the airbags to deploy. There is not a single scratch or dent anywhere on my vehicle yet for some reason the airbags deployed. At the time of the incident nobody else was in the vehicle with me yet the airbags deployed. Thus far Infiniti Corporate has done nothing to help me with the repairs of the vehicle. They keep giving me the run around and tell me to file the insurance or wait till mid January for a response. DO NOT BUY Infiniti's!

Yes the car is fixed. I had to file insurance. The car is a lease and i cannot wait to get rid of it and be completely done with nissan/infiniti. Biggest mistake of my life was getting this car.

I ended up filing insurance on my car. Paid the deductible and let my local Infiniti dealer fix it for me. The Nissan/Infiniti Corporation said the airbags didnt malfunction. I fought with Infiniti corporate for 40+ days before I got an answer from them without any loaner vehicle provided. It was a nightmare. After they claimed to not be a fault I could no longer bear making payments on a new car without driving it, without any loaner, so I finally caved in and filed insurance.

i dont think you understand how airbags work. scratches or body dents have nothing to do with it. its all about "SHOCK"... hitting a large pothole will deploy airbags.

BMW might be a nice car but when that warranty runs out you'll be paying out the butt for parts.

I'm quite surprised that this video is still up and that you haven't been sued for irresponsible slander. You should've considered a few points before posting this.

As a few people have already commented, you must have been going pretty fast to cause the airbags to deploy.

Infiniti was correct in telling you to file a claim with your insurance.... Had you done that it would've been fixed... The insurance company would've looked into whether or not there was a defect with the system.

File complaint with NHTSA. Then maybe Infiniti will take action...
