I just replaced my old Zalman 9700NT for a Noctua NH-U12P SE2. Thought you might be interrested, since you liked the old vid.

  • just got a question about your setup

how are the noctua fans on the case compared to the stock ones?

(i have the same case p182 and im gonna be getting this cooler soon)

    any clearance issues?

do you use anything for fan speed control?

what fan setup do you have for the lower bay? did you keep the fan down there or did you replace it with something else

    thanks!

  • @jimmerz818 The Noctuas are a bit more silent and push more air in/out. The result is a more silent rig and a bit cooler components (-1 or 2 grades).

No clearance issues at all. Fanspeed - noctuas come with adaptors for 1100 and 900rpm. I used the ones for 1100 rpm, except the front fan (the front fans spins a bit slower due to the filters in the front).

For the lower bay i use the stock fan on low rpm. The PSU has a 13,5cm fan.
