@kanenkitten Well seeing as the whole thing is made up of several verses, I don't think it matter which verses were sung as long as the first verse was included since it is the main component of it. The lesser known verses are just as valid, and seeing as its the Olympics which after all promotes the values of the second verse they sang, it's apt to include it here.

@kanenkitten Well actually it was the decision of the UK to sing that verse. The Chinese did not place restrictions on what we were allowed to do, only on the space we were allowed to use in the stadium for our presentation. Personally I think it was the right decision.

@mark1mod0: I bet it was the chinese who required that last verse from another version to be used. Although I fail to see what was wrong with just using the 3rd verse but I guess it glorifys the opposite political system to the communist government. Personally I would have loved it if we used the real second verse here
